Miami nightstalker SpaceGhostPurrp has cooked up a new video clip.
‘Osiris Of The East’ was a highlight on 2011’s Blvcklvnd Rvdix 66.6 tape, and ended up being one of the more hypnotic moments on this year’s 4AD debut Mysterious Phonk: The Chronicles Of SpaceGhostPurrp. SGP’s new paymasters have now unveiled a new high-spec visual accompaniment for the track.
Truth be told, the video’s not a patch on the excellent clip for ‘The Black God’ (or, for that matter, Amber London’s SGP-produced ‘Low MF Key’), but the smudged colours and Hipstamatic shading suit SGP’s malevolent smoulder pretty well. If the well polished Mysterious Phonk perhaps added a touch too much sheen to SGP’s sound, the video keeps things advisably hazy.
