Fresh from having announced a new full-length for Editions Mego, Bristolian synth-tinkerer Ekoplekz has another new release on the boil.

His latest project is a split LP with fellow analogue head Nochexxx. EXOFERRIC / LATENT ACID will feature ten tracks apiece from both artists, appearing under the pseudonyms PLKZFX and CHXFX respectively .

One-time blogger Ekoplekz has been cobbling together lo-fi analogue electronica for a minute now. Punch Drunk and Mordant Music have played host to his work, and he’s also released some excellent live albums of careful electronic manipulation. Nochexxx, meanwhile, has been a vital part of Cambridge’s leftfield for some years, helming the now deceased Tripel label and working with local mavericks like Pete Um. He collaborated with Sensational for Werk Discs in 2010, and has also turned out a number of 12″s for Ramp Recordings.

EXOFERRIC / LATENT ACID is Ekoplekz’s second split LP for the label in as many months: he knocked out a joint LP with enigmatic Vlek resident Wanda Group at the tail end of June. EXOFERRIC / LATENT ACID is available this week from Further on cassette and digital download.
