Last Saturday’s Butterz/Hardrive party at Cable was a top choice for would-be Bloc attendees.

As previously noted, the night featured the top names in grime: Champion, Terror Danjah, Elijah & Skilliam, and a surprise set from Boy Better Know.

Performing around 3am, grime OGs Newham Generals were not to be outdone. With DJ Tubby on the decks, they played a 40 minute set highlighting some of grime’s recent hits: plenty of rewinds of D Double E’s ‘Bluku Bluku’ and Footsie’s ‘1 Spliff,’ along with some toasting over Faze Miyaki’s rabid ‘Take Off.’ Also, keep an ear out for ‘Hard,’ their collaboration with Breakage.
