Last week brought news of Flying Lotus Past; this week begins with portents of what’s to come from the L.A. beatmaker.
As reported, Warp have just repressed a swathe of Flying Lotus’ back catalogue, including his breakthrough Reset EP and his last two LPs. According to Pitchfork, fresh information has now emerged about when we can expect Flying Lotus’ next record.
Until The Quiet Comes, it appears, will arrive on October 2 on Warp. There’s another bit of interesting news: regular co-conspirator Thom Yorke is also set to feature on the record. The pair last collaborated on ‘…And The World Laughs With You’, one of the many highlights on 2010’s particoloured Cosmogramma. Further news on Until The Quiet Comes is expected later in the week, including details of who else will be on guesting on the album. Could this be the year that FlyLoXO becomes a thing?
In the interim, FlyLo will be dropping a free track next week through longtime allies Adult Swim. Death Grips and The Field are also contributing to the series.
