Mule Musiq and Retrofit clubbing up with Tief at Corsica Studios this Saturday July 21.

Mule Musiq have previously welcomed a bunch of idiosyncratic labels to their books, including Tensnake, Motor City Drum Ensemble and DJ Sprinkles. Recent FACT mixer Jus-Ed is the big draw, appearing under the Mule Musiq umbrella for the night. The NY house vet and Underground Quality head honcho is a wonderfully efficient selector, favouring grace and simplicity over flashiness or pyrotechnics – all in all, he’s an artisan behind the wheels. Dial boss Lawrence will be on a different tip, offering lush house music spotted with moments of high-def detail and undeniably prettiness. Label boss Toshiya Kawasaki will round out the room.

Retrofit take on Room 2, and they’ve got Jay Shepheard in charge for both a live set and a DJ set. Shepheard’s productions aren’t afraid to go deep, and he should prove an effective captain for the room. Joining him will be Berlin’s Iron Curtis and disco devotee Tad Wily. Residents Hesseltime and Thick As Thieves will also be appearing.
