‘TV Dream’ isn’t just a song title for Groundislava – it’s a concise articulation of his entire aesthetic.

Like so many, Jasper Patterson finds inspiration in mildewy video footage and decaying analogue signals. Last month’s TV Dream EP for Friends Of Friends was a squelchy, primitive, day-glo set of tropical electronica – no rulebook tearing in sight, but charmingly executed nonetheless. With a full-length due to drop in the next few weeks, Patterson has released a new video for TV Dream‘s title track, and it’s a joyful assemblage of kooky archive video and naff CGI. Again, nothing novel, but it’s cheeky enough to compel a grin. Tomas Barfod of WhoMadeWho has cobbled together a remix, also available below.
