Like the best of us, Skream’s long had a penchant for trance.

The South Londoner may have made his name as one of dubstep’s original protagonists, but on 2011 single ‘Anticipate’, he aimed straight for the stars with a city-sized combination of sunset stabs and and end of the night vocals from Sam Frank. On his new remix of BURNS’ ‘Lies’, Skream again gives trance a chance, putting us heavily in mind of the Daft Punk-meets-Zelda styling of Rustie’s debut album Glass Swords. It’s often on his remixes that Skream seems most free to experiment – check the success of his wide-eyed remix of Cassius’s ‘I <3 U So’, for instance – and we’re chuffed to be able to premiere this one below.
