Channel 4 to broadcast Attenborough and Bjork: The Nature of Music.
The pairing of the avant-pop star and the voice of natural history programs is an unusual one, but not without precedent. Bjork has collaborated with Attenborough before; he narrated the multimedia components that accompanied her recent album Biophilia (one of these videos is below).
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Attenborough and Bjork: The Nature of Music will tell “the story of how and why music has evolved… [exploring] human kind’s unique relationship with music and how technology might transform the way we engage with it in the future.”
Biophilia will serve as the heart of the film, which is directed by Louise Hooper and made by Pulse Films. An air date has not been announced.
