Update: A representative from T&B would only say this about the tombstones: “there’s no easy way out, there’s no short cut home.”
It looks like the “Heavy Bass Champions of the World” are ready to hang it up after five years of low-end mayhem.
The collective of DJ-producers Drop The Lime, Star Eyes, The Captain and AC Slater have established Trouble & Bass as the chief purveyors of sinister club music, all with a distinct, Gothic flavor. Since 2007, Trouble & Bass Recordings dropped over 50 releases from a crew of global affiliates that include Mikix the Cat, Little Jinder, Starkey, Supra 1, Zombies for Money, and Deathface.
After a weekend that saw the crew take their warehouse wobbling show to Philadelphia, New York, and Washington, the Trouble & Bass web presence was replaced with a branded tombstone (above). While not outside of their normal aesthetic, this looks to be a more permanent change.
