The metalcore legends ready All We Love We Leave Behind and a tour for the fall.
According to Pitchfork, Converge will release the follow-up to 2009’s superb Axe to Fall on October 9 via Epitaph. The album will be available in a variety of formats, including vinyl and a 17-song Deluxe Edition that feature a 48-page hardcover that includes art from frontman Jacob Bannon.
Guitarist Kurt Ballou recorded and mixed the record, which features no outside collaborators. “There’s no artificial distortion, triggers, or Auto-Tune on this album,” says Ballou. “It’s all organic, it’s real sounds that capture the way the band performs live.”
After the release of All We Love We Leave Behind, the Massachusetts-based band will play a blistering 28 dates in exactly one month with support from metalers Torche, Kvelertak, Coalesce, Nail, and Whips/Chains.
