The Wu-Tang storyteller preps the 12 Reasons to Die multimedia project.
Ghostface Killah will end 2012 on a high note. Apart from contributing to the street assassin Wu-Block project (which has an album due out October 8), Ghostface is working on a new project entitled 12 Reasons to Die.
Executive produced (as always) by the RZA, the album’s music will be provided by Adrian Younge, the Wax Poetics producer responsible for the music of blaxploitation homage Black Dynamite.
In stores November 20, the album will be followed by a comic book, launching in December. The comic is GFK’s second foray into the graphic novel game, after 2009’s Cell Block Z.
12 Reasons to Die is Ghostface’s first full-length effort since 2010’s Apollo Kids. The sequel to his 2000 breakthrough Supreme Clientele, entitled Supreme Clientele Presents… Blue & Cream: The Wally Era, is due out next year. Stream his first Wu-Block contribution, ‘Union Square,’ below.
