Following on from that new song-scrap from The Weeknd, here’s Abel Tesfaye’s long-anticipated team up with crossover pothead Wiz Khalifa

‘Remember You’ is credited to Khalifa, but it’s essentially The Weeknd’s joint. Tesfaye gets the bulk of the track to play with, and imports  his more distinctive tics (sylphlike vocal samples; lashings of reverb) pretty much wholesale. He’s definitely not toned down the lyric sheet either, cooing “Girl, take pride in what you wanna do/Even if that means a new man every night inside of you”. Khalifa’s makes a brief, stilted appearance, but it’s Tesfaye that’s pulling the strings.

Wiz Khalifa’s O.N.I.F.C. (Only Nigga in First Class) will be released on September 18. The Weeknd’s newly burnished Trilogy set, meanwhile, drops on November 13.
