Ongoing club series Upfront Project will host two parties concurrently in Vauxhall this Friday.
Fire will welcome a colourful line-up, headed by a live set from Trouble & Bass stalwart Drop The Lime. The New Yorker’s scatty, vibrant take on electro and breakbeat should ramp up the energy and keep it high. Ed Banger don Busy P, meanwhile, will be showcasing all manner of neon-lit, serrated electro. Secure Recordings’ Bart B More will likely lean more towards the techno end of affairs than his fellow guests, but expect him to keep things as unabashed as either of the above. Scowling UK funky practioner Shox is at once the outlier and the secret weapon on the bill; expect serious firepower from the rising producer.
Just across the road, Lightbox will welcome a different set of acts under the OFF:UK banner. Topper Andre Crom makes synthetic and occasionally silly (see the lip smacking ‘Reiner Wahnsinn’) house music, and should prove a worthy headliner. Jacking producer Darius Syrossian and Martin Dawson (the artist formerly known as King Roc) are on the bill, as are Chris Carrier, Chris James, Cameron Smith, Kag and George A G. Marcus Golden Barnes and Verity Mayes round out the bill.
