Hear Daft Punk soundtrack a Saint Laurent Fashion Show

On Monday’s Saint Laurent show for Paris Fashion Week, Daft Punk lend a helping hand.

As the FYEAHDAFTPUNK Tumblr page points out [via Pitchfork], dance music’s most elusive pair of robots put together a playlist of songs by late blues artist Junior Kimbrough, of ‘Keep Your Hands Off Her’ fame, before editing and looping the tracks into a continuos soundtrack for the show. According to said Tumblr page, some of the music features on this clip on the Saint Laurent website (a YouTube clip that claims to feature the music has been discredited).

It’s not Daft Punk’s only venture into soundtracking of late: it was revealed earlier this year that member Thomas Bangalter had scored a new Lindsay Lohan movie, and in 2010, they scored Disney’s Tron: Legacy. The group’s new album, which features Nile Rodgers of Chic and more, remains one of 2012/13’s most anticipated.
