Plenty of young producers are plumbing the depths, but few young masters of the dark arts are getting as much attention as Seb Gainsborough, aka Vessel. 

After low-key, off-key releases for Astro:Dynamics and Left_Blank, the producer has found a suitably dank home on Tri Angle. He’s also a member of the highly promising Young Echo covenant, which also numbers Kahn and Zhou amongst its ranks.

Order Of Noise is Gainsborough’s long anticipated debut LP, and it shows the Bristolian setting out his stall of dust-coated curios. A knotty synthesis of ambient, dub and industrial, Order Of Noise suggests a well-cultivated sonic palette; although far from a forthcoming record, it’s defintely a triumph of fine taste, full of sinister motifs and ugly details.
