On video game Lylat Wars – or Star Fox, for the heads that go back that far – you piloted a team of animals through the cosmos, dodging giant meteors and wrecking intergalactic robots. It was a good time. 

The video for ‘Drain’, a B-side on Bristol snare-snapper Artifact’s new 12″, doesn’t feature robots or rabbits, but it does remind us more than a little of Lylat Wars, riffing on a similar flight simulation theme to Local Action’s [disclosure: a label run by FACT writer Tom Lea] last video, Slackk’s Natalia Stuyk-directed  ‘Blue Sleet’.

Directed by Kate Moross collaborator Hans Lo (Simian Mobile Disco, Face + Heel), we’re not saying the video’s anywhere near as fun as the game, but at least it doesn’t feature Slippy the frog.
