Cottam, master of the intoxicating house jam, has lined up a new 12″ to close out the year. 

The Lancashire native made his name – or rather, lack of name – as an anonymous producer at the tail end of the last decade. His syrupy, soulful house edits earned him plenty of heat, and he’s since put out tunes on Wolf Music and Use Of Weapons. This year, whilst far from his busiest, has seen him release the spooky ‘Forgotten Files’ 12″ on Flight Recorder, not to mention the carnivalesque ‘Hit The Wall (Frustration)’ on Tru Thoughts.

Will Saul – recently outed as the man behind the CLOSE alias – will put out Cottam’s latest disc on his Aus Music imprint. The Relapse 12″ will host two freshly minted Cottam productions, ‘Relapse’ and ‘I Remember’. 50Weapons house producer Cosmin TRG will also be doing his knotty, brittle thing on a remix of the title track. It’s not the first Cottam/Aus team-up; the label first welcomed the producer into the fold on last year’s heady-as-hell ‘Deep Deep Down’, available to stream below. [via Juno Plus]
