Alixander III will release The Incline of Western Salivation Pt III next month.

The Toronto musician is one of the producers behind (as his moniker suggests) slinky house act Azari & III. According to XLR8R, the album is three years in the making and is “said to abandon the bouncing drum machines and pop structures of his main project in favor of diabolic basslines, metallic detailing, and murky overtones.”

That is a fitting description for closing track ‘The Jugular,’ an epic, twenty-plus minute piece of techno that gurgles and bubbles with colliding rhythms. Preview an unmastered version of the track below, and check out the album’s cover art and tracklist.

The Incline of Western Salivation Pt III is out November 23 on Alixander’s Idol Hanse. We assume it wasn’t a fit for Azari & III’s bizarre-fit of a new label, Dim Mak.
