The up-and-coming Chicago rapper teams up with two vets for his latest single.
King L, formerly King Louis, is a sex-and-drug obsessed rapper: think Gucci Mane from the Chi. He made waves earlier this year with ‘Val Venis,’ which had nothing to do with the wrestler and everything to do with a sparse, trunk-rattling beat and a earworm hook (“I’m the man / little did they know”).
His latest single, ‘My Hoes They Do Drugs,’ is produced by fellow Chicagoan Yung Berg, and the beat is more robust this time around. King L’s playful flow should not be confused with high-profile neighbor Chief Keef, and enlisting drug-rap kingpins Juicy J and Pusha-T is a no-brainer. Stream the track below; King L’s debut album Dope & Shrimp is coming soon.
