The Huddersfield master of UK garage and bassline house has a special gift for remixing otherwise forgettable songs.

Over the summer, DJ Q gave a two-step rinse to The Wideboys’ ‘Addicted 2 The Bass’, and with the same “shit into sunshine” panache, he remixes Stooshe’s ‘Waterfalls.’

The London girl group will release their cover of TLC’s trademark ‘Waterfalls’ next month, and even with the imprimatur of TLC’s T-Boz, it’s a pretty unnecessary rework. DJ Q’s remix, however, rides the bassline and a straight-forward garage beat that at least infuses something novel into the R&B classic. Stream the song below; the single and remixes will be released on November 11.
