It’s been announced that the Chicago-based Numero Group – an imprint famed for its rare funk and soul reissues – will turn its attention to the Twin Cities for its next batch of releases [via Pitchfork]
For all you parochials out there, that’s the cities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul, Minnesota – fertile ground for funk, soul and RnB in the late 70s, when it was the stomping grounds of a certain young man named Prince.
