This week, Karenn – a.k.a. producers Blawan and Pariah – took their hardware-heavy live set to the Boiler Room.

The Karenn live show has received a lot of attention since its UK debut at Fabric, and finds the duo, who both have roots in punk (Pariah as a listener, Blawan as a drummer), creating a racket that, to our ears at least, nods to the next-room, sometimes wilfully tinny hardcore of groups like Cursed as much as it does the British techno that’s so often cited as their key influence.
