Over 20 years after their first album, Orbital are still a force to be reckoned with.
After a sizeable hiatus, the rave grandees recently dropped their first album in yonks (the enjoyable Wonky) and got to jam with Sir Stephen Hawking at the Paralympics opening ceremony. A busy 2012, then, and they’re just coming to the tail end of a successful UK tour, aided by support from Border Community bright spark Nathan Fake.
The jaunt will finish up with a pair of major shows at London’s Brixton Academy on December 14-15, and, by way of celebration, FACT have a stash of prizes to give away. One winner will bag a pair of tickets to Orbital’s show on December 15, plus a copy of Wonky on CD. That’s not all: some Orbital T-shirts and a pair of the band’s iconic headlight glasses will be thrown in for good measure.
To be in with a chance, ping an email over to competitions@thevinylfactory.com, including your name and the word ‘Orbital’ in the subject line.
Tickets and further details about the shows are available from the O2 Academy website.
