Daft Punk rumours need to be handled with caution – remember this summer’s non-existent “new single”? – but it looks increasingly likely that the Parisian cyborgs-in-arms will be heading to the desert in 2013.

Mixmag report that subscribers to the Songkick email service were reportedly sent an update listing Daft Punk as performers at Coachella 2013. A screengrab verifies the information, although Songkick have since removed the news from their site and apologised for issuing “unconfirmed information that was added in error”. Other acts mentioned include The Rolling Stones, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Phoenix

Mixmag also report that a Rolling Stones app gave out similar information earlier this week, suggesting this might be more than just an unfortunate typo at Songkick HQ. Daft Punk last appeared at Coachella in 2006, to major acclaim.
