Thom Yorke and friends return with a new song and tease 2013 plans.
‘Judge Jury and Executioner’ is the latest glimpse of Atoms for Peace’s Amok, due out February 26 via XL Records (one of FACT’s most anticipated records of 2013, naturally). Stream the song below. The combination of shifty percussion, a blanket of ambience, and Yorke’s off-kilter vocals results in a swaying jaunt that sounds like Radiohead circa ‘Reckoner’.
Bandmates Thom Yorke, Nigel Godrich, and Joey Waronker appeared on BBC Radio 1 today, and along with premiering the song, teased a Glastonbury performance by Radiohead. Yorke also said that the two songs that Radiohead recorded at Jack White’s Third Man Records Studio will see a release, but declined to give further details. [via CoS]
