UK singer Kindness has teamed up with Tigersushi founder Joakim and Vincent L’Traques – a not-so-secret alter-ego of Night Slugs’ Jam City – under the banner Everyone.
Everyone’s debut release, ‘No Time To Waste’, will be released this February through Joakim’s new vinyl-only label Crowdspacer. There’s no more info than that at this point, though a press release for Crowdspacer outlines its manifesto, followed by footage of an illegal party from 1989 [below]:
“Crowdspacer is about
dance,
sweaty clubs,
techno primitivism,
trans-gender house,
tropicalist trance,
mutant disco,
fun avant-garde,
timeless futurism,
the body & soul.”
‘No Time To Waste’ will be a joint release with Kindness’s Female Energy label. Both Kindness and Jam City released their well-received debut albums this year, World You Need A Change of Mind and Classical Curves; Joakim, meanwhile, has been one of dance music’s most reliable odd-balls for some time, running the Tigersushi label from his home city of Paris and releasing on labels like Versatile and Kitsune. It’s an interesting combination to say the least, though Night Slugs and Kindness played several live shows together in 2012, which could have set the seeds.
