The Non Phixion / La Coka Nostra member shares a song off his new album.
Brooklyn MC Ill Bill is a cult rap favorite, having darted between the ghoulish and the political strands of hardcore rap for years. His latest offering, ‘Exploding Octopus’, leans towards the latter: the nasty bit of boom-bap muses on “technological slavery” as expressed by Theodore Kaczynski (yes, the Unabomber).
Stream ‘Exploding Octopus’ and watch the video below. Ill Bill’s forthcoming album, The Grimy Awards, features appearances by El-P (on the previously-premiered ‘Severed Heads of State’), A-Trak, DJ Premier, HR of Bad Brains, and more. The album is slated to drop on February 26 via Uncle Howie/Fat Beats and is available to pre-order now.
