Felix K will release his debut album, Flowers of Destruction, this summer.
The Berlin-based DJ/producer, and past FACT mixer, is the man behind cult labels Hidden Hawaii, QNS, Solaris Series and 0000 (to name but a few), and since his career began in 2007 he has shifted his focus from drum ‘n bass to techno, with some of his most memorable productions exploring the fertile space between those genres; his most recent work resists easy categorisation at all, occupying their own abstract but highly expressive niche of electronica and dub-wise soundscaping.
Flowers of Destruction consists of 15 new tracks, and with typical stoicism each of these are simply titled by number. The album will be pressed on 3×12″ grey vinyl, in an edition of just 500, for release in May-June 2013. A digital edition will come later, some time in the second half of the year. More information when we have it.
