Tickled pink by Pink? Try Morris Cowan’s fairylit strand of house music. 

The Manchester-based producer traded as Taylor in a past life, cropping up alongside Lone and Mickey Pearce (né Shortstuff) on Nottingham’s Wigflex label back in 2009-10. The Morris Cowan pseudonym was properly unveiled on 2011’s Circa LP for Zaubernuss, a sunny tech house collection in hock to Luke Abbott and Jürgen Paape. He’s also remixed the likes of Get People and Liar-Liar, and mixed for Mary Anne Hobbs’ now defunct Xfm show in 2012. 

A new LP, Six Degrees, is expected on Wigflex in the next few months, but for now we’re spending time with Taylor’s fine remix of Origami Sound producer Borealis. ‘Womb’ turns the mournful original into a bright, swoonsome house cut, cultivated from the same seed as Juk Juk or Blacksmif.
