Fatboy Slim becomes the first DJ to ever play the House of Commons

On March 6, Fatboy Slim will become the first DJ to ever play at the House of Commons.

You’d be forgiven for thinking that Norman Cook had done it all in his time as a DJ – played gigs at The Great Wall of China, turned up at shows in a tank, mimed in a giant octopus at the Olympics and, naturally, checked in to rehab along the way – but this marks a whole new dawn. Cook will be supporting the winner of the House the House competition, a “charitable cross parliamentary initiative” organised by the Last Night a DJ Saved My Life foundation, and had the following to say about it:

“I’ve played some exciting and unique places around the world from Bondi Beach to The Great Wall of China to Igloo but playing in the House of Commons might be the most unique to date. I’m a proud supporter of Last Night A DJ Saved My Life and the work that it’s doing with House The House. Music is a huge part of my life and to give something back in this way is amazing.”
