The British singer offers her version of a favorite of chanteuses everywhere.

After relatively faithful covers by Zola Jesus and Sia (the latter of whom co-wrote the song), Jessie Ware opts for a personal approach on Rihanna’s ubiquitous ‘Diamonds’.

Ware performed the song today on BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge, and the sparse rearrangement (and reverb-heavy guitar) lend an air of The xx to her version. Stream it below, via Some Kind of Awesome.

The Devotion vocalist has been nominated for a prestigious FACT Award and will spend the next few months touring the UK and North America.
