Enjoying HudMo’s dishy Slow Jams Chapter VI tape? Here’s some more Spanish Fly from Matrixxman and Vin Sol. 

Matrixxman is best known as one half of bass larkers 5kinandbone5, but he’s been making big strides on his own in recent months: his 2-step take on Palace’s ‘Trust’ is one of our favourite remixes of the year so far, and he’s got fresh material on the boil for Sinden’s Grizzly imprint. Vin Sol, meanwhile, has releases on the way on Unknown To The Unknown and Phonica. Together, the pair helm the Soo Wavey imprint, under whose auspices they’ve also collaborated to fine effect.

As a Valentine’s Day treat, the pair are giving away a dreamy edit of Sade’s ‘Give It Up’, taken from 1988 LP Stronger Than Pride. No ‘Reset’-style mutant grime here: it’s a silky smooth, respectful edit, perfect for late night canoodling. A longer “vinyl tribute” to Sade from the pair is also in the works.
