Chopped from Benji B’s Radio 1 show, we finally get another taster of James Blake’s hotly anticipated next album Overgrown.

Admittedly the version played (billed as a ‘dub’) was probably not the ‘Voyeur’ that we’ll end up hearing on the album, but it shows a welcome return to Blake’s fondly remembered earlier, dancier 12″s. His crooning sad-sack vocals are still just about audible, but it’s his signature woozy synths that stand out here, punctuated by the kind of smart, pointed beats ‘n bass we all fell in love with back when CMYK dropped.
