After month upon month of speculation, incontrovertible proof – read tentative confirmation – has arrived that The Rolling Stones will be playing Glastonbury 2013.
This week has already seen the Prince-to-headline lobby whirring back into action, and it now appears that the Stones’ mooted headline show might well be happening after all. Serge Pizzorno of lad rockers Kasabian appears to have confirmed that the vintage rockers will top the bill at the Worthy Farm festival for the first time in 2013.
Speaking to MTV News about Kasabian’s forthcoming appearance at the festival, Pizzorno said: “I hope ours is the most talked about performance of the weekend, but that would be a miracle because The Rolling Stones are playing Glastonbury.”
Last week, Nas was confirmed as the headliner of the newly announced Silver Hayes dance area at the festival. He’ll be joined by the likes of Disclosure, AlunaGeorge, Eats Everything, David Rodigan and Hot Natured.
