Jeremih and Shlohmo are both artists who know how to set our hearts a-flutter, and their first proper collaboration is causing serious palpitations. 

The Late Nights With Jeremih crooner and the Wedidit beatmaker first crossed paths on the latter’s gripping remix of the former’s ‘Fuck You All The Time’.  Earlier this month, the pair were pulled together by Adidas and Yours Truly’s Songs From Scratch series and invited to build a collaborative track. An accompanying trailer video showed the pair riffing in the studio and talking about their mutual admiration.

The finished article, ‘Bo Peep (Do U Right)’, is now available to stream in full, and it pulls off the same dark alchemy as their pair’s last encounter. Shlohmo’s beat is brooding and widescreen, with some gentle nods to Soft Cell’s ‘Tainted Love’ to boot. Jeremih, meanwhile, is fleet-footed and sweet, reminding us why he was our favourite aphrodisiac of 2012.

Shlohmo’s Laid Out EP is out now. The pair will also perform ‘Bo Peep’ live in San Francisco (April 5) and Los Angeles (April 6) at the close of the producer’s current tour.
