It might not be much, but today we got the first teaser of Cassie’s forthcoming mixtape RockaByeBaby.

Splicing shots of the enigmatic singer with clips of classic movie New Jack City (where the mixtape got its title), the all-too-brief trailer comes across more like a movie spot than the preview of an album, which really just adds to the mystery.

Anything with Cassie’s name on it is an event around these parts, and if we believe the hype, RockaByeBaby should be the grand statement we’ve all been waiting for. [via Complex]
