Leeds’ Canal Mills have announced their stacked programme for the next two months.
On March 31, mono_cult and Wax:On will take charge of the space. Ever-ascending house starlet Maya Jane Coles will top the bill, with the much-loved Joy Orbison and Barcelona charmer John Talabot also set to appear in Room 1. Nu-disco standard bearer Prins Thomas will keep things on a cosmic tip in Room 2, with Aus Music regular Midland taking charge in the courtyard. Ryan Elliott, Youandewan, PBR Streetgang, Last Waltz and People Get Real are among the other additions to the bill.
April 19, meanwhile, will welcome all-conquering 2-step/dub/house fusionist SBTRKT, topping the bill with a DJ set. Bondax and Happa – two teenage acts with plenty of promise – will also be appearing, as will Shadow Child, Last Magpie and TCTS. April 26 is Crosstown Rebels night, with the label toasting 10 years of activity: sets are promised from Damian Lazarus, Art Department, Francesca Lombardo, Jozif and more. Teamaker, one-man brand and all round good egg Mr. Scruff will be at the controls on May 5, spinning a five hour set touching on hip-hop, funk, Afrobeat and everything in between.
Tickets and further information about all the above events can be sourced at the Canal Mills website.
