That Soundcloud embed, down there, will lead you to a mix by Oxide & Neutrino.
Yes, the garage duo behind classic singles like ‘Bound 4 Da Reload’, ‘No Good 4 Me’ and ‘Remy On Da Floor’, not to mention 2001’s debut album Execute (let’s face it, if you’re in the UK and in your mid 20s to early 30s, chances are you at least borrowed it) are back, supporting South Rakkas Crew for a live show at London’s Big Chill House this Saturday, March 30.
To promote the night, the duo have recorded a mix that we’re premiering on FACT. With Oxide on deck, it opens with a roll-call of classics by both Oxide & Neutrino and parent group So Solid Crew (‘Reload’, ‘No Good 4 Me’, ’21 Seconds’ et al), hosted by MC King L. Then, Neutrino steps up to spit and Bang! We get ‘Bound for the Reload’ over Redlight’s ‘Source 16’. Smash! ‘Up Middle Finger’ over Reservoir Dogs’ ‘Buddah Finger’. Clunk! An Oxide dubstep remix of the Black Eyed Peas. It’s completely brilliant.
Entry to the show is free before 10pm, £5 thereafter.
