Calling all collectors – Numbers boss and sometime Radio 1 host Jackmaster is flogging his vinyl collection.
Back in November, Todd Edwards listed his enormous record collection on eBay. More recently, J Dilla’s mother put a tranche of the producer’s record collection up for sale on the auction site, and Jackmaster is now the next in line to hawk his hoard on the web.
Jackmaster revealed the move this morning on Twitter:
“It’s with a heavy heart that today I begin to sell my entire record collection on Discogs. Will post the link up here soon…Everyone asking me why I’m selling my records. It’s because I don’t play them anymore. Better that someone loves and cherishes them instead of them sitting and gathering dust here. I can probably use the money to put down a deposit on a house. I own a lot of very rare records.”
The Glasgow DJ is setting up a Discogs page to manage the great sale – we’ll up the link as soon as he’s announced it. Jackmaster recently sat down with FACT to discuss Numbers’ stonking Pleasure Principle festival.
