This Friday London’s Get Low are bringing along ex-Streets man Mike Skinner, and furthemore have just confirmed Bristolian legend DJ Derek for Sunday’s session.

While advance tickets are long gone for Mike Skinner’s Friday appearance at the Dogstar in Brixton, there’s still a chance to get in on the door, and with support from The Heatwave, Murlo, Get Low Cartel and more it promises to be a goodun.

The sixty-something year-old reggae collector DJ Derek will be bringing his encyclopedic knowledge to Camden’s The Lock Tavern for Get Low’s first Sunday session of 2013, and will no doubt have the crowd flailing with his on-point selections and patois. It’s free too so basically a no brainer. If you haven’t already seen it, we’ve embedded a documentary on Derek below that’s just about as essential as it gets.
