Sometimes-thoughtful Chicago rapper Common has added his own spin on Jay-Z’s Timbaland-produced ‘Open Letter‘, dropping a new verse and commenting on his own relationship with the Obama administration. Noting that he might not be invited back to the White House (no doubt in light of the misinformed ‘gangster rapper’ comments at the time), Common doesn’t say a hell of a lot, but it’s still a pleasure to hear these two middle-aged rap veterans sharing a beat. Now how about Nas on ‘Open Letter III’ eh?
