Tramlines have revealed the first names for their Friday and Saturday line-up, curated by Toddla T.

Tramlines is a major endeavour, boasting over 700 artists in 70 venues across the city. Although formerly free, it’s still an absolute steal – tickets are a measly £6 per day, and a weekend pass costs £15.

Detroit kingpin Theo Parrish tops the ticket on Friday, billed as a Sheffield Vs. Detroit showdown. Parrish needs no introduction, so we’ll spare him one – needless to say, adventurous house fans will want to be right down at the front. He’ll be joined by Sheffield’s adopted son Maurice Fulton, last heard dusting off the Syclops alias for the excellent A Blink Of A Eye EP. Fulton’s turned his hand to everything from house to boogie to hip-hop, although there’s an elastic, funky quality that unites his disparate ventures. Also on the bill are Sheffield mainstays Forgemasters and Chris Duckenfield.

Saturday, meanwhile, will see Toddla T on a Carnival tip, bringing his Toddla T Sound crew along in tow. The almighty EZ will offer a UK garage history lesson, and the almighty David Rodigan will show why he’s been honoured by the realm. Stylo G, Dub Phizix & Strategy and Dre Skull are also confirmed.

Tramlines runs from Friday July 19 until Sunday July 21. Ticket and further information are available here.
