Those of you who struggled with Centipede Hz – and if you did, you weren’t the only ones – will get a second chance to get on board on a new remix EP.
Late next month, Domino will release a new 12″ of Animal Collective remixes, kookily titled Monkey Been To Burn Town. The EP will feature new edits of Centipede Hz track ‘Monkey Riches’ from a host of remixers, including footwork don Traxman and giddy house duo Teengirl Fantasy. Shabazz Palaces will also contribute an exclusive edit, as will Brian DeGraw of Brooklyn heroes Gang Gang Dance.
The latter’s contribution is now available to stream, and offers a scrambled electro reading of the original; click below to be moved/bewildered. Monkey Been To Burn Town in May 28. Following an aborted Spring tour, Animal Collective are heading back out on tour in May; the full dates are below.
