The confounding Swedish duo return to the stage with a bang.
It’s common knowledge that when you go to see a band like The Knife you should expect to see something, well, surprising. This time around the unpredictable duo even teased what the show would entail, promising a night of “absurdist aerobics”, political protest, danceoke (like karaoke but with dancing) and an appearance from Cool Pans, “the biggest steel band in Scandinavia”.
Now the shows have finally started to happen and the full extent of the insanity has begun to emerge via Youtube and Vine. Reviews range from one side to the other, and that’s always the danger when you try something bonkers like this, but we have to say it actually does look like a lot of fun. Far better than standing in front of a guy on a laptop checking his eBay account while a $2 app auto-mixes deep house together. [via Dummy]
