Smoke ’em if you got ’em.
Young Chicago-based footworker Young Smoke has hardly been slouching in 2013, having released an ambitious pair of albums already, but on Monday May 5 he’s set to release yet another, the confoundingly-titled Smoke The Astrozoid: Space Lyfe Unite The Movement 3D The Movie. Really, it’s actually called that, and to celebrate the occasion Visual Fantasies have put together a typically astral-travellin’ video to accompany album cut ‘Suspicious Planet’. Smoke’s cosmic footwork is at its finest here, with almost Mike WiLL-style twinkling synthesizers tripping and dancing around a predictably urgent 808-laced rhythmic backdrop.
Smoke The Astrozoid: Space Lyfe Unite The Movement 3D The Movie can be pre-ordered on Young Smoke’s bandcamp page, and will emerge on May 5 on digital only.
