Big Strick is the perfect representative of Detroit’s soulful side, and with ‘Heydey’ the Omar-S affiliate manages to eke out just about as much living, breathing humanity as you can out of the humble synthesizer and drum machine. It’s deliciously analogue stuff, and bubbles with the sort of tape saturated warmth you rarely hear these days in the hustle of Ableton and Logic Pro.

The track has been snipped from Dutch DJ and long term Panorama Bar resident Steffi‘s brand new mix CD Panorama Bar 05, and will also emerge on a special 12″ rounding up three exclusive tracks from the mix.

Panorama Bar 05 will be out on May 16 via Ostgut Ton.
