Fancy a disco and house history lesson?

Presented by Lovebox and Red Bull Music Academy, on June 14 legendary disco pioneer Nile Rodgers along with his fabled band Chic heads up a line-up that promises to take us through the history of US house and disco music. That sounds like a bold statement, but with support coming from acid house pioneer DJ Pierre, Chicago house legend Derrick Carter, fabled disco hotspot Studio 54’s Nicky Siano and nu-disco proponent Seth Troxler it’s hard to deny the sheer ambition and quality of the bookings here.

The line-up will be presented at London’s Forum, and it feels like rather good timing – Nile Rodgers just shot back into the limelight this year after being featured on Daft Punk‘s forthcoming LP Random Access Memories, and also the duo’s effortlessly fantastic new single ‘Get Lucky‘. Maybe this trip down memory lane will start a fully fledged disco house revival?
