With 2003’s Rounds reissued today, Kieren Hebden shares something from the archives.
The original version of ‘Unspoken’ featured a sample of a piano melody from Tori Amos’ ‘Winter’ which could not be cleared. “It was the first track I made for the album,” Hebden tweets. “This version about 12 years old.”
The tenth anniversary edition of Rounds is out now on Domino Records, and attempts at clearing the sample again failed, so Hebden decided to offer the track as a free download.
