Nightstalker Abel ‘The Weeknd’ Tesfaye drops his first hint of post-Trilogy material. 

Tefaye has taken to Twitter to premiere a snippet of a new track. Despite its title, ‘John Carpenter’ doesn’t herald a tilt into Xander Harris territory; instead, we’re apparently looking at more churning, lachrymose R&B. No news as yet whether or not ‘John Carpenter’ will make it onto forthcoming LP Kiss Land.

Tesfaye recently dropped a (surprisingly dear) 6xLP box-set version of last year’s classic Trilogy set – then upset everyone by neglecting to actually sign any of them. Recent-ish Juicy J collab ‘One Of Those Nights’ is also available to stream here.
