One-time musical/romantic partners Neil Hagerty and Jennifer Herrema are working together again.

Beginning in 1987, Herrema and Hagerty operated as scuzz rock duo Royal Trux before parting ways in 2001. Herrema would eventually resurface as RTX and most recently as Black Bananas, while Hagerty released music under his own name and with the Howling Hex.

Now, in a post on Herrema’s Facebook page, it looks like Royal Trux are back (in a manner of speaking): “Forthcoming Black Bananas Lp. will include 2 new songs co-written with Neil Hagerty STOKED!!!!!!! :)” Herrema says the album is due in “January 2013” which we assume is a typo of January 2014.
